Cages grid your eyes, elbows into spine
I see bones pressing your skin
Your bodies curled and clenched
Each elbow and knee, unfold

You begin to lift your neck as if
your head is floating up

cross your eyes until my legs are one and
I become a well-braided puzzle again.
